# Symbol (Icon)

Nutze ein Feld vom Typ **Symbol**, wenn ein Datensatz ein visuelles Symbol für Ansichten, Diagramme oder dynamische Auswahlfelder speichern soll.

Für die allgemeinen Einstellungen, die alle Datenfelder gemeinsam haben, siehe [**Gemeinsame Feldeinstellungen**](/builder-hub/de/design-your-app/add-and-edit-data-fields-in-your-tables/all-data-fields/shared-field-settings.md).

**Symbol** verwendet nur die gemeinsamen Einstellungen. Es gibt keine zusätzlichen feldspezifischen Optionen.

Im Symbolwähler können Nutzer:

* nach einem Symbol suchen
* ein Symbol aus der Liste auswählen
* oben rechts im Farbwähler eine Symbolfarbe auswählen
* das aktuelle Symbol entfernen

Klicke auf **Bestätigen**, um das ausgewählte Symbol zu übernehmen.
